AISPLB chides Pakistan for the recent killing of Shias

Calling upon the international community to condemn the killing of Shias, President, All India Shia Personal Law Board (AISPLB) has criticized Pakistan for failing to protect the rights of Shias and Hindus in the country.

LASHING out at Pakistan for what he called targeted killing of Shias and Hindus, President, All India Shia Personal Law Board (AISPLB), Maulana Mirza?Mohammad Athar said it was not the first time, when such killings have taken place in Pakistan.

"It has been continuing from past several years and the government remains helpless over the same,” Maulana alleged.

Maulana shared that several countries have been providing political?asylum to the people escaping from such mass killing in Pakistan, which includes Canada, US and UK. But there were several families, which can’t afford to buy tickets for reaching there.

"We demand from the Indian Government for providing political asylum?to such people. If they cannot do so then they should provide long term? visas to them," he added.

He stressed that it is not just the matter of Pakistan but there were?many other countries which have been under attack of terrorism and mass killings including Burma, Afghanistan, Iraq, Yaman and Bahrain.?"Several times, the terror groups have attacked Shias while they were offering prayers in mosques or holding religious functions. The international community should condemn such acts and killings," he added.
