Ajay Devgan doubles his signing amount for next movie
He is known to ride against the tide and achieving success. For the first time this bankable actor has asked for double the sum as his signing amount.
AJAY DEVGAN has always been the prodigal son of Bollywood. He made his debut with Phool aur Kaante, which went on to become quite a hit, inspite of the fact that he was written off for his unconventional looks prior to the film. With Phool and Kaante, he established himself as an action hero. Almost a decade later he established himself again, but this time in a completely different genre. He proved that he has a funny side and he is one of the most bankable actors, yet he is different. When most of the other bankable actors of our times like Salman and SRK are asking huge amount of money, as much as 50 crores, this actor still charges his prior rate of 6-8 crores.
A close source told a reputed media house that Ajay understands the nuances of distributing and marketing a film hence he did not increase his paycheck amount but when he did a film that grossed 100 crore then he decided to give himself a treat. To go by the buzz Vasu Bhagnani knows the true worth of the actor, and has decided to go ahead with him. However, when his manager was asked about the same, he refrained from giving a comment.
