AKON, WHO is an international icon in the music industry, has become a household name in India, after he made his Bollywood debut with a Ra.One soundtrack, Chammak Challo, which has become an instant hit among Indian music lovers. It was on the same song that Shahrukh danced to its tune during the opening ceremony of the Kabaddi World Cup, pleasing many international Kabaddi players. The World Cup is taking place in Bhatinda, Punjab.

Some players from the US Kabaddi team were surprised to hear Akon’s voice in a song, which he has sung in proper Hindi. The Times of India reported that the foreign players who were present in the opening ceremony asked their fellow Indian players as to what this ‘Chammak Challo’ means? The Indian players explained them it’s meaning too.
With this song the international players have also got the taste of some Indian Bollywood flavour, which they welcomed with open arms. They were seen enjoying themselves during the event. The organisers of the event had promised to make the event a colourful one and they have been successful in it. Most of its credit would go towards the song, Chammak Challo, which was loved by everyone present in the ceremony.
There are a total of 13 teams that would be participating in the second Kabaddi world cup, which is hosted by Punjab. The first edition of the world cup was won by India defeating Pakistan in 2010.
