Al Gore and his wife Tipper are separating: details

AL GORE, former US Vice- President and his wife Tipper are all set to get separated after 40 years long relationship. An e-mail was sent to a famous newspaper by Gore's which included, "a mutual and mutually supportive decision that we have made together following a process of long and careful consideration."

After the statement Kalee Kreider, Gore’s spokeswoman confirmed, that the statement is true and he did not comment further. The Gore's have four children, Karenna, Kristin, Sarah and Albert III. Previously Gore gave a statement that “my wife is someone I've loved with my whole heart since the night of my high school senior prom."

Tipper is a co-founder of the Parents Music Resource Center in 1985, which pushed for parental caution labels on music with cruel or sexually explicit lyrics. Tipper Gore later became friends with the late Zappa's wife, Gail, and played drums and sang backup on daughter Diva Zappa's album in 1999.

The reason of getting separated is still not clear as Al Gore and his wife has just given a statement via e-mail. Previously in 2000 the couple exchanged a long kiss at the Democratic presidential convention.

Al Gore is known for his good work and served US for a time period before George W. Bush defeated him in 2000 presidential election. After loosing the election he engaged himself in different campaigns for drawing attention towards climate change. His work led to a Nobel Prize in 2007 and an Oscar for his documentary "An Inconvenient Truth."
