Newly elected Al Qaida chief Saif al-Adel has threatened to carry out attacks against the United Kingdom. He has asked his henchmen to prepare plans for carrying out deadly attacks in London to avenge Osama's killing.
NEWLY ELECTED Al Qaida chief Saif al-Adel has threatened to launch attacks in London to take revenge for the killing of Osama bin Laden by the United States. British newspapers quoted Taliban leaders as saying that Adel had vowed to make United States and United Kingdom pay for the killing of Osama.
Adel is reported to have warned that London will be the first to face another spate of attacks, which will remind the people of 7/7 incident that had left 52 people dead. He is also said to have deputed Al Qaeda cells in Europe and America and tasked them to carry out major attacks on the lines of 9/11.
Adel also asked them to hit out against infidels to take revenge of bin Laden’s death. A Taliban leader said that Adel has asked them to make plans for London as he is of the opinion that it is important to break United Kingdom as it forms the backbone of Europe.
Al Qaida had to appoint Saif al-Adel as its chief leader after the killing of Osama bin-Laden in his hideout in Abbotabad, deep inside Pakistan near the national capital Islamabad.
The killing of Osama at a place so close to Islamabad and deep inside Pakistan had raised the hackles of United States as questions were raised over his long stay in the country. Questions were also raised over the alleged complicity and links of Pakistani military and intelligence establishment with Al Qaida.
