The singer, Morissette, 36, who is known for hits such as Ironic and Hand in my Pocket, began dating Souleye, 30, in October last year. Morissette was previously engaged to actor Ryan Reynolds but the stars split in 2006. He is now married to Scarlett Johansson.
Morissette appeared at the red-carpet premiere of "Prince of Persia" on May 18, just days before the wedding, where she performed the song's theme song, "I Remain". Seven Grammy Awards and 12 Junos winners, Canadian singer Alanis Morissette sold more than 60 million albums. On Thursday June 10, she is scheduled to perform on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
Morissette revealed about her marriage on Facebook. She wrote on her Facebook page, "Hi guys! So happy to share with you that my man Souleye and I got married. We're very excited to embark on this journey with each other....sending love...connect soon xo – Alanis"
