The 20th celebration of Bordoichilla Bihu Utsav was organised by the Nabarupti Silpi Sangha, a cultural organisation of Nagaon, Assam on May 28 and 29, 2010. Noted Indian playback singer Alka Yagnik thrilled the audience of Nagaon with her numbers.
NABARUPTI SILPI Sangha, a cultural organisation of Nagaon, Assam, organised the 20th celebration of Bordoichilla Bihu Utsav on May 28 and 29, 2010. In connection with the celebration, Bordoichilla Borbihuwati 2010 competition was held on May 28 and the Bordoichilla Borbihuwati 2010 was begged by Konika Engti of Guwahati.
Bordoichilla Borbihuwati 2010 was crowned with gold crown, a cash prize of Rs 75000, a colour television set, a colour mobile handset and a certificate.
On the May 29, the cultural programme was organised which was inaugurated by the deputy commissioner of Nagaon Manish Thakur. After the inauguration, the artistes of Jagiroad performed a colourful Tiwa dance followed by a series of six classical dances performed by Trishnakhi Sarma and her group.
Noted Indian playback singer Alka Yagnik who was invited for the cultural show thrilled the audience of Nagaon with her numbers. The 44 year old velvet voiced singer also cracked few jokes on stage. The audience also came alive when Kaushik Roy Choudhury and Reena of Indian Idol show rendered their numbers.
