All religions of world preach to develop love and compassion towards human beings: Dalai Lama
Spiritual leader Dalai Lama said that all major religions of the world preach to develop love and compassion towards the human beings. Dalai Lama said this during his visit to Jama Masjid in Leh area of Jammu and Kashmir State.

There may be different ways of approaching God or Allah using different philosophies but ultimate goal is to promote the message of God to have better understanding among each other, he said.

Expressing his serious concern over terrorist activities in the world particularly in Syria, Iraq where people kill each other due to personnel interest and goals, Dalai Lama said that terrorism has no religion.

'Those who become terrorists no longer belong to any particular religion or faith. So, it is wrong to associate them with any religion because such individuals have no religion," Dalai Lama said.

He also visited Chowkhang Vihara and Imam Bargah and interacted with different religious heads and scholars.

He said that even there are some mischievous individuals who for personal motivation carry out inhuman activities to kill humanity, "We should collectively make efforts to make a happy and peaceful world," he said, adding India in general and Ladakh in particular is good example where communal harmony is exemplary.

He emphasised upon making continuous effort to reduce the conflict among different religious faiths by holding seminars and discussion.

He said religion is a private matter but our common goal should be how to promote love, peace, harmony and common understanding among seven billion humanity on the Earth.
