Allahabad to have four ideal railway stations by Kumbh 2013
Allahabad may finally have a good news before the commencement of Kumbh Mela 2013 - four railways stations would be developed as ideal stations, fitted with all the latest infrastructure like waiting room, catering hall and vehicle parking, to name a few, among many other facilities.
IF EVERYTHING goes as per the plan, soon the Naini, Jhusi, Daraganj and Prayag Ghat stations would be developed as the ideal railway stations before the commencement of the worlds largest gathering Kumbh, scheduled to begin in 2013.
The Railway Board, however passed the directive to develop the four railway station as the ideal railway stations. It may be mentioned that as many 845 stations of the country have been selected for the same. Thereafter, it has been decided that total of 131 more railway stations would be made Ideal Railway Stations by the Railway Board.
Of the 14 stations, eight will be from the Eastern Railway and two from central railway. Four railway stations of Allahabad have been included among these lucky ones. It may be mentioned that Prayag Ghat is of north railway, Daraganj and Jhusi of Eastern Railway and Naini junction of North Central Railway.
It is pertinent to mention that in view of the better facilities and benefit for passengers, all the concerned arrangements like resting room, waiting room, catering stall, vehicle parking, drinking cold water, STD booth, reservation counters and many others useful things would also be made available at these stations. Sources in this regard inform that a letter regarding this move has been sent to all managers of the concerned zones from Railway Board.
