Amazon Obhijaan's poster shatters Baahubali's record for largest poster ever made
It's huge, pretty huge. By launching the biggest film poster ever made, upcoming film 'Amazon Obhijaan' and their production team SVF has entered into the record book.

Whereas, a couple of years ago team 'Baahubali' had launched a 51600 square-feet poster for the franchisee, here team 'Amazon Obhijaan' surpassed that with a 60800 square-feet poster.

The gigantic poster was unveiled at the Mohun Bagan football ground situated just opposite to the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Vertically, the poster is taller than the Big Ben (96 meters) or Qutub Minar (73 meters) with its 97 meters length and 58 meters of width. And rightly so, as Amazon Obhijaan is also the most expensive Bengali film ever produced with a whopping budget of Rs 25 crore. Earlier, when 'Chander Pahar', the prequel of 'Amazon Obhijaan' released it had been produced with a budget of Rs 15 crore.

'Chander Pahar', which was penned by legendary author Bibhutibhushan Bandyopadhyay remained untouched for years until doctor-turned-director Kamaleswar Mukherjee gave the classic narrative a visual.

However, this time, while Mukherjee himself has penned the story of the sequel, just like previously, actor cum Member of Parliament, Dev (Deepak Adhikari) has played the lead character of Shankar.

This is also the first time that Kolkata saw such a huge crowd gathered at the stadium for the poster launch. The crowd cheered for team 'Amazon Obhijaan' as Dev, Kamaleswar Mukherjee and music director Debojyoti Mishra were personally present to feel the vibes.

How much revenue the film will generate only time will tell but what's certain is that Bengali cinema is inching towards newer heights with each passing day.

Production house SVF has said that the film will release in multiple languages to reach pan Indian audience. We got to know that the English version of the film will be named 'Amazon Adventure'. The film is going to hit the screens on November 22, a Christmas release. Now it's time to experience a visual treat.
