America orders air strikes against ISIS in Iraq
American President Barack Obama on Thursday authorized US air strikes in northern Iraq. He warned that they would strike ISIS if needed to defend Americans from the Islamic militants and protect civilians.

While making the announcement he said, "Today America is coming to help." This divulge the American engagement in Iraq since US troops withdrew in late 2011 after nearly a decade of war. Barack Obama, who made his remarks in a steady and somber tone, has staked much of his legacy as president on ending what he has called the "dumb war" in Iraq.

He further added that American military aircraft had dropped food and water to thousands of Iraqis who were trapped on a barren mountain range in northwestern Iraq, having fled the militants, from the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, who threaten them with what Mr. Obama called "genocide."

"As commander in chief, I will not allow the United States to be dragged into another war in Iraq," said Mr. Obama, who built his run for the White House in part around his opposition to the war in Iraq as reported by New York Times.

This was the first time when America spoke on ISIS as the war is taking barbaric turn and about to hit Americans. Obama also said that it is his responsibility to save his people from ISIS attack. The initiative of America might be soon provide Iraq with peace.
