A 30 year old American girl was raped at her home by an unknown person on a knife point in a high-class locality of Banjara Hills in Hyderabad. The incident took place at late Tuesday night between 3-4 am. As per the victim’s land lord who lives on the ground floor of the house, the girl came to their house at around 5.15 am and described the unpleasant incident. She then called her friends who took her to Apollo Hospitals. She was given first aid, but since it was a medico-legal nature case, the hospital authorities called the Banjara Hills police and she was taken to a government hospital, Niloufer, for medical examination. Two police teams have been formed to track down the rapist, a dog squad had visited the victim's house - a sketch of the man has been made as per the woman's description, said, “City police commissioner AK Khan after visiting the victim’s house. He further said that Police have launched a manhunt for the accused on the basis of description given by the victim.
