AMERICA'S MOST popular TV reality show American Idol, announced that it will allow 15 years old contestants to take part of the competition, rather than 16 previously. However, the upper age limit for the show is still 28.
Channel Fox, which airs American Idol, has announced that 15-year-old singers will be allowed to try out when auditions begin later this summer. Cecile Frot-Coutaz, executive producer of the reality show explained, "A lot of young, talented people are now seeking careers and representation before they turn 16. Lowering the age limit allows us to tap into this talent pool."
American Idol is the most watched reality show of America. In session 10, Judge of the show Simon Cowell will not be available for the show. However, FOX has not announced who will replace Simon Cowell in the judging panel. Audition for the tenth season of the TV reality show American Idol will be held in six cities across the U.S. beginning Saturday, July 17.
