Amitabh Bachchan as a brand ambassador is a brand in itself
He is himself a brand and when Amitabh Bachchan speaks, or does everyone listens. This is the reason why so many brands in order to ensure their message gets across take him up as their brand ambassador.

AMITABH BACHCHAN, the self-made man is revered by millions in India and across the world. He is respected for the same and the entire country loves and respects him not only for his work but also for the way he has shaped his life. For the same reason, everyone listens to the actor whenever he speaks. The Indian government's polio campaign ‘Do bund zindagi ki’ went on to become a huge hit, and thanks to the respect with which he is held in, people in rural and semi-urban areas responded to the campaign. 

India and instigated people to better their lives. So it was no surprise when the Gujarat state government approached him to enourage tourism in the state. Apparently, Amitabh Bachchan himself wanted to promote Gujarat as he promised the same while promoting his movie Paa. These days we do see him walking the Rann of Kucth or taking a stroll at Sabarmati Ashram and telling us the values of Porbander. The advertisements are really interesting with Gujarat’s positives highlighted. Like the polio advertisements this is sure to ring a bell with the Indians.

Previously Amitabh has also been the brand ambassador of famous brands such as ICICI Prudential and Force motors. There were however, some complications with the IIFA 4group. After staying with the IIFA people right from the inception, last year they went through a major breakup. Amitabh Bachchan decided not to go to the award function after the organisers announced that they would do the show in Sri Lanka and right after the Bachchan’s failed to make an appearance, the organisers dropped the concept of Brand Ambassador. This is the influence of Amitabh Bachchan.
