Amitabh Bachchan along with Sony entertainment channel has been issued a notice for the promo of Kaun Banega Crorepati, which is said to have insulted one of the famous slogans ''Tum mujhe khoon do main tumhe azadi doonga'.
THE ICONIC Bollywood actor, Amitabh Bachchan has hogged the limelight due to some negative reasons. Sony entertainment channel along with Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan has been issued a notice by Bombay High Court for the promo of Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC), which according to the court has insulted freedom fighter Subhash Chandra Bose’s famous slogan ‘Tum mujhe khoon do main tumhe azadi doonga’.

A PIL was filed by Mukesh Sharma, who felt that the six scenes that had been used to promote the popular reality show, were ‘insulting, defamatory and maligning the slogan’. Out of these six scenes, five are said to be derogatory to the slogan. The PIL also expressed surprise over Bachchan’s decision to do such promos, which defamed a slogan coined by a freedom fighter.
The concerned people need to file a reply to the notice by July 28. Chief justice Mohit Shah and justice G S Godbole were the ones, who had issued the notice to Amitabh and the channel, which hosts Kaun Banega Crorepati, Sony entertainment.
Kaun Banega Crorepati has been very successful in India. It is one of the first reality shows that were introduced in India around the year 2000. At KBC a person could earn up to a maximum amount of Rs 1 crore. The show was hosted by Amitabh Bachchan.
