AFTER TWITTER and blogging Amitabh Bachchan is all set to conquer the world of Facebook. He has joined the social networking today officially with a video saying the same although his page have updates from time as early as 2011. The page has already garnered 786,224 likes in a few hours. The video of the superstar wearing a white kurta and a shawl was uploaded just 4 hours back and already people are joining the fan page by hitting the like button.
Bidding welcome to everyone the actor says in the video, “I am now on Facebook and this is a welcome device. The way the digital world is growing is unbelievable and I thought that I would use Facebook to connect with all my well-wishers, yet again. You have been with me in twitter and my blog and here is another convenience that will connect us further.” Since the iconic actor did not have a word limit in Facebook he further added, “Year after year, month after month we just come closer. It is lovely to have you here and we shall be seeing each other and you shall get to know more about me and my daily activities.
The other users are having a gala time browsing through the actor's profile. He has uploaded loads of pictures- right from his younger days with his family to his marriage and his kids. He has received numerous comments, likes on each and everyone of them. Some of the comments are actually funny like one user asked the actor for his measurements as he wants to make a suit for his idol.
The profile also has the links to his blog and twitter account so that anyone who is not following the actor in either of the two can do so. The mega-star is one of the most regular users of Twitter and he updates his blog on a regular basis. People are hoping that he would do the same with Facebook and he would as he knows the importance of the media and wants to 'be connected' as he himself says.
