HIS ACTING has won the heart of millions of cinema goers across the world, often referred as angry young man during his youth days - Amitabh Bachchan has hogged the public lime light most of the time for appreciative reasons during his 40 years in Bollywood. However, in his birth anniversary month October, he has courted controversy not once but twice.

This month he was named in the FIR alleging financial fraud that also named Samajwadi Party’s political stalwart Amar Singh in politically sensitive UP, now Big B has courted another controversy-video interview without his knowledge. Amitabh Bacchan has wrote in his blog that the editor Abhijeet Majumdar of the leading Mumbai newspaper took his interview with his due consent but the interview was also posted in the form of video on the web portal of the news paper without his knowledge.

”He never told me that they had a video net facility in operation and that the interview would find a place there. "Majumdar you were dishonest with me,” wrote Big B in his blog on a web portal read by millions of his fans across the world.

Abijeet Majumdar, editor, who took the interview responded in ire against the comment of Bachchan concerning video interview, he refuted all the allegations and said, “I had clearly mentioned to you that both audio and video interview would be recorded. It is hard to believe that a man of your standing will lie, so I guess you have forgotten that bit.”
Going by the content of the interview and blog it is hard to decipher who is on the wrong foot but yes it is for sure either Big B or editor Abhijeet Majumdar is lying. It could be a publicity stunt, you never know.

Besides his acting Amitabh has all the failings of a normal man and it is O.K. He is aging and one can't blame if he forgets few uncomfortable things. While everyone is free to follow whatever occupation once undertakes it is prudent to retire gracefully and accept that all good things come to an end. Selling some thanda thanda tel and cements of questionable qualitiy doesn't behove upon a giant actor of yester years. Sometimes splendid isolation is better choice to maintain an aura of respect.
