Amitabh's Paa's promo stuns audience

The promos left people wondering, Yash Chopra a leading director described Big B's acting in the movie as a landmark that will set new benchmarks for the film industry. Movie lovers who wish to see Amitabh in Paa will have to wait till December 4.

HE IS one of those actors who has done all sorts of roles, ranging from angry young police officer of Janzeer to a teacher to a blind girl in Black. His vibrancy in acting has mesmerised millions of cine goers across the world. And now in coming December, he is again ready with one of the most awaited movies Paa, its promotion got underway on November 4 with television, internet and other media sources showing trailers.

Considering the promos, it is anticipated among the industry experts and cine lovers, that Paa will be a thought provoking movie. Based on an unusual poignant subject, Paa revolves around a 12-year-old boy suffering from a rare disorder- progeria, wherein the patient ages rapidly. The 67-year-old Big B is playing the challenging role of the boy suffering from progeria. His son Abhishek is playing the role of Big B’s father in the movie while leading actress Vidya Balan will be seen playing the role of senior Bacchan’s mother in the movie.

Produced by Big B’s home production house AB Corp, Paa is directed by Balki, who has also penned the story. Yesteryear's renowned musician Iliyaraja has given the music for the movie. On his blog, Big B has touched diverse aspects of the movie Paa, he wrote, “The face that you see is the result of deep research. Kids affected by this problem lose all their hair, become bald and their veins begin to show prominently on their heads, which enlarge to a size beyond normal. Their teeth and eyes suffer also and hence the special teeth as dentals that were worn by me. ” He further added details regarding the make up, which left audience in awe that turns senior Bacchan with trademark shave and stylish hairs into a bald kid with broken teeth “5 hours to put it all on, 2 hours to take it off and 6 hours to work - at times more if we are behind schedule. Tough ! But then whoever said film making was a luxury. Then .. for a sunrise shot you start getting ready from the previous night at about 11 pm, sit through the entire night to be ready by 4-5 am and then go on to work.”

Internationally renowned make-up expert Stephen Dupuis had done unbelievable make-up for Big B, he has done such assignments in the past as well, including Robin Williams’ make-up for popular movie Mrs. Doubtfire.
