AMU student grievously injured during celebratory firing after Indo-Pak T20 match
On Saturday night a second year M Tech student of the Aligarh Muslim University was injured during celebratory firing after India won the ICC World Twenty20 match against arch rivals Pakistan.

The student Kaleem Ahmed, who hails from Azamgarh was hit by a stray bullet when some students were firing in the air after India's victory at the Sulaiman Hall in Aligarh Muslim University.

Surya Kant Dwivedi, Station House Officer, Civil Lines Police Station said that a stray bullet had hit Kaleem Ahmed in the head, injuring his eye. He was immediately rushed to the local hospital where the doctors referred him to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi, where he is currently undergoing treatment.

According to reports, a clash broke out between some local students celebrating India's victory and a group of Kashmiri students, during which Ahmed was injured. His condition is said to be serious, as per sources.
