An analysis of Narendra Modi' most sought after TV interview
A Leader inspires, motivates and guides people with vision, character, integrity, knowledge and experience and he is the one. The above sentence can clearly be taken as inference from the most awaited interview of Narendra Modi to Arnab Goswami.

The pre-occupied minds of viewers (with a track record of Arnab that he smartly grinds his Guest) were expecting something silly or controversial on part of Modi out of this interaction.

In fact the serious body language of interview at the beginning was really a confirmation to my mind that Modi would lose the ground as Arnab would rip him apart with questions related 2002 Gujarat riots, snoop gate, Adani etc. But as the interaction went on I was stunned and became spellbound with the confidence, assertiveness and preparedness of Narendra Modi and the clarity and specificity in his answers to the every question he was asked.

If Rahul’s interview was a “disaster” to the Congress then Modi’s interview was seriously a “disappointment” to Arnab’s fan, the Congress and other opponents of Modi. There was 180 degree difference between these two most high profile interviews as Rahul had one answer (RTI, women empowerment) to all questions put to him while Modi has elaborate but very specific answers to all questions and charges against him.

Starting with confrontation with Priyanka Gandhi on the latest buzz of “neech rajniti” and “caste spin” he cleared his stand so precisely and the way he maintained his position on it was really a glorious shot... He firmly made it clear that whatever meaning is given to the word “neech” the word itself was befitting and the speaker of the same needs to be questioned of using such word instead of being cocooned by Media.

In the interview he was very clear on his stand on the wide range of issues. However, in the following response he scored his most brownie points.

On post poll alliance, he said Arithmetic is needed for the Parliament, no arithmetic is needed to run the country, a spirit is needed. An all inclusive spirit is needed to run the country.

If people elect the BJP, they will give it the responsibility and not the license to become arrogant. We have to work with each representative of other parties as well.

On the question whether Rajnath Singh or Sushma will be in the Cabinet? His response was our team will sit and decide on these things.

On Rajasthan's probe against Robert Vadra, he said, “See my track record of over 14 years; I have never been accused of vendetta. We don't take political decisions in haste.”

On Adani’s land deal charges, he explained so clearly marsh land & prime land difference. His response was, “Is the rate of land in Ahmedabad and the desert the same? Will you show the actual statistics of the Gujarat government on this? Govt of India's own records have certified Gujarat's land policy. Shouldn't we know from whom the Adanis have taken land across the country?”

On diverse religions and lack of mention of those persecuted in other religions besides Hinduism in BJP's manifesto, Modi said, “Hinduism is not a religion. It's a way of life and we go by this line of thinking, which has also been stressed by the Supreme Court of India. We do not go by religions.”

On his stand on Bangladeshi infiltrators he questioned the duplicity of using different yardsticks used by Governments mentioning Taslima Nasrin and made himself vocal against vote bank politics.

In fact throughout the interaction one can observe impartially that every question and issues were well researched by Modi and his answers were clear, logical and self explanatory…be it his unhappiness on EC, RSS’s economy policy, FDI in retail, Foreign Policy, relation with Pakistan or religious over tunes by himself and Amit Shah and co. Neither any questions were eliminated nor avoided.

First time I observed Arnab at the receiving end as he went from “Frankly speaking” to “barely speaking” mode and fumbling on certain occasions when he was challenged by his guest on his facts check (on Maya Kodnani) and asked to do research on at least 10 big riots in India including 2002 Gujarat riot and compare the actions and give an impartial evolution.

He put Arnab into defensive mode with a frontal attack on media biasness questioning their neutrality on issues like price rise, inflation, corruption, targeting Modi linking him with every issue and their devotion towards a specific family and the ruling government.

Honestly I’ll not be surprised if Arnab in particular and his channel in general will be accused of fixing the interview afterword in spite of not leaving out any possible issues, charges or questions.

In short it was all through a Modi’s show. He completely dominated it. May be he's very diplomatic and tactful. May be one can't know what he's actually thinking. But he can never be trapped on made into silly replies. So he is the only one who can do something and take challenges on any mighty obstacles.

My rating to this interview is surely an A+ if not 10 on 10. And I believe that work and ability is the real identity of a person not the person himself. In Modi I can see a best visionary and a real statesman with an honest intent to elevate himself with his hard work making India the Super power of 2020.

Destiny of India is surely going to change in a positive perspective. Clearly after a long time India will get a world standard person as its PM.
