'An artist takes his own route to reach his destination'
Talent speaks its own language. It does not need a medium or a support to become a success. The hard work and dedication inside it are enough to make it work. Independent talent is always to watch out as it carves its own path across the crowd.

Such an amazing talent we have in our first story hails from India. Winner of more than 6 international and more than 9 national awards with several honours on short filmmaking and animation presented to him, he has achieved quite already in the field that excites him so much. The name of this talent is Varun Mehta.

Beginning with HP Contest 'You on You' which was held in 2009 online, a move to just show creativity and fun, motivated Varun to step into the field of animation and filmmaking completely.

He won a special prize in the contest and after that there was no looking back for him. Things saw an all new high when Varun won the best film award for his short 'The Unknown World' at Buzzgoo International Film Contest held in US in 2012. The Unknown World has now its own Wikipedia page. After that there were a series of award winning films made by him.

Apart from animation, Varun also tried his hands at Short Films and created several documentaries, ad films, visual work for many international brands. He set up his own studio by the name of 'Wiz'. This year he produced two award winning shorts that were submitted in the US and China.

Also, his latest short that was submitted to explore and celebrate the 'earth week' topped the list into the finalist panel. It was the only entry submitted from India. This year he was a part of FICCI international conference that deals with industry growth and economy.

When spoken about what really motivates him as an artist he said, "An Artist takes his own route to reach out his destination. He doesn't depend on anyone. Just like when a unique painting finds its own set of admiration. The painter knows what he is doing and he is dedicated towards his art. He doesn't need an inspiration. His own idea becomes one. Being an independent artist is always challenging and challenges keep us growing."

When asked about if he always wanted to do what he's doing or had some other plans, he replied, "I always knew there is art inside me but the only thing I didn't know what medium should I take up. I realised it quite late but it was worth it and I am really happy to be in the space I am now."
