An online platform for housewives to become an entrepreneur Chef
The concept behind Homecurry.com originated from a simple idea to let working people pick their lunch daily with a choice of menus and home cooks. At the same time, it's also an attempt to provide many homemakers, especially women, a way to earn and showcase their cooking talent as they are amazing cooks at home but have never tried their luck professionally because of logistics and other factors.

MY BROTHER is the brain behind this idea, and while working in Pune he used to go to a home mess for his dinner. He liked the simple homely food there and wanted the same for his office lunch, but the lady didn’t have the logistics to deliver it in office. We saw potential in picking up this idea, and it was a matter of time and getting together the right set of people sharing the same passion and experience to make this happen. The service portal Homecurry.com provides an option for people to pick their lunch meals from a menu and cooks on a daily basis enabling customers to taste a variety of home cooked food at an affordable price in disposable, hygienic and microwaveable packaging on Homecurry.com.

It was much easier to bring the housewives on board than we initially expected. We explained to them our concept of aiding them to follow their passion for cooking from the comfort of their home and earn extra money. Besides, we promote their menus and their names on our site. Our basic vision is to make Homecurry a platform for housewives to become entrepreneurial chefs.

We are already in the process of finalizing cooks (housewives) for special menu categories such as Jain food, and South Indian food. Homecurry provides the housewives the necessary ingredients to prepare the food in the comfort of their own kitchen. This allows us to control the quality of the food and takes away lots of hassles for the housewives. We follow strict quality and hygiene checks of their kitchen, and finalize home cooks only after initial food trials that test taste, quality, and other factors.

Today, in a span of four months after launch we have customers from more than 200 companies registered with us who order with us on a frequent basis. We are trying to cover almost all the Gurgaon office locations. Presently, deliveries go to DLF Cybercity, Udyog Vihar Phase 1 to Phase 5, Unitech Infospace, Electronic City Sec-18, Sec-15, Sohna Road, Infocity 1 and 2, Golf Course Road, MG Road, Sushant Lok, and Unitech Cyber Park.

Going forward we plan to introduce more menu categories in terms of health meals, and are already in the process of finalizing housewives for these special menu categories. There are also plans to launch our services in Noida, Bangalore, Pune and Hyderabad.
