An open letter to the Wall Street Journal
Members of the Libertarian Party have been sending letters to the Wall Street Journal supporting George Phillies. I sent an open letter as well and have decided to share it with Merinews in case the WSJ deletes it.

The Open Letter

IN THIS Christmas season of 2007, I can imagine the Wall Street Journal team looking outside their windows and reflecting upon the year that was and the year that will come.

The Wall Street Journal wonders what has happened to the elections and candidates that used to inspire rather than depress. The Wall Street Journal must be wondering why the USA is in its present position. The answer is the Republicans and Democrats with their excess intervention through the State in the matters of finance.

What is the solution to the problems that may threaten the survival of the USA in the long run? The solution is in George Phillies.

George Phillies is like John the Baptist, talking about the solutions no one wants to hear. Yet George Phillies has solutions that are based on common sense, freedom, dignity, responsibility, and peace.

Common sense, freedom, dignity, responsibility, and peace have been endowed to us by our Creator and enshrined the Declaration of Independence and our Constitution. If the USA were to live by the words enshrined in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, it would be a great place to live. George Phillies is a believer in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution.  George Phillies believes that the State should govern and enforce the laws of the land.

Freedom is another concept very dear to the USA and its people. In order to have freedom, there must be responsibility. George Phillies is a believer in the freedom and responsibility that all United States citizens should exercise without a ‘nanny State’ that draws a blueprint for our existence. In plain English, socialism and free market cannot mix and George Phillies understands this.

Under the present situation, our dignity is being trampled upon. It is about time that we regain our dignity. The time has come to tell people that if they want to come to the USA, please do so legally. The time has come to withdraw from costly wars and commitments such as the Middle East, Korea and elsewhere. The Cold War is over and we must defend our interests first and foremost. The United States can regain its dignity with the withdrawal from the United Nations, organisation of American states, and other international organisations whose favourite sport is to kick the USA like a football. George Phillies believes that we deserve more than what he have now.

George Phillies believes in peace and free trade in which there is no force but at the same time defends our interests. George Phillies believes that we have a right to defend ourselves against foreign attacks but that wars and conflicts based on lies that drains the business community and ultimately the USA is hazardous to America.

The solution for the problems of America is George Phillies. George Phillies, America, freedom, responsibility, and dignity go together and are our only hope.
