Anand Jon's sister organises a solidarity fashion show

Sanjana Jon, the sister of fashion designer Anand Jon, will organise a show titled 'Fashion With a Heart' as part of the Wills Lifestyle Fashion week to show solidarity for her jailed brother. The show will see 15 celebrity siblings walking the ramp.

THE UPCOMING Wills Lifestyle Fashion week will be remembered for a cause, as Sanjana Jon, the sister of the jailed fashion designer Anand Jon, will organise a show titled “Fashion With a Heart”. The show would see not one or two but, fifteen celebrity siblings walk the ramp together to express their solidarity with the jailed designer.

The bizarre ramp will see many big names from the world of cinema and sports walking the ramp with their siblings, including Salman Khan and his brother Arbaz Khan with wife, Sushmita Sen with brother Rajiv Sen, actress sisters Riya and Raima Sen, music composer Sajid and Wajid, sons of Sarod maestro Amjad Ali Khan, Amaan and Ayaan Ali, Singer Shivani Kashyap with her brother and small screen actors Rohit and Ronit Roy. The show will also see Olympian pugilist Vijender Singh and chess wonder Taniya Sachdev walking the ramp.

As reported earlier, Anand Jon was sentenced to 51 years of imprisonment on August 31 this year for raping and molesting aspiring models. He was found guilty on 16 counts out of the 23 levelled against him by teenage and grown up women who either took part in his fashion shows or were supposed to represent him in the future. The serious charges include forcible rape of seven women aged between 14 and 21.

Born in Kerala, Jon did his course in fashion designing from prestigious institutes of US, Art institute of Fort Lauderdale and The New School for Design. World renowned celebrities from the world of glamour and sports have all adorned his designer clothes, including Paris Hilton, Oprah Winfrey, Rosario Dawson and Gina Torres.

Going by the verdict of the court, it seems Anand Jon had received what he deserved. Nobody is above the law and India should take lessons from the US on this. India, has seen many cases where, the common man is put behind bars even for stealing hundred rupees but, influential politicians and officers enjoy a luxurious life even after committing murder and swindling public money.

Hi Harish, if u think u have the personality to become model, then search for modelling agancies on internet and in magazines and forward ur portfolio to them. I am sure u will get an opportunity to prove ur mettle, good luck......
