In what could be called as a blow to the government, the Minister of Sea Ports Komati Reddy Venkat Reddy resigned from the posts that he was holding.

THE TELANGANA agitation took a new turn as Minister of Sea Ports Komati Reddy Venkat Reddy submitted his resignation from the ministry as well as Legislative membership on Saturday. He also sent his resignation to AICC President Sonia Gandhi and wrote a letter to her - addressing his grievances.

However, matters slipped out of hand when Nakirekallu MLA Linga Reddy too followed suit and submitted his resignation withdrawing from the post of MLA. After resigning, he was said to have proceeded to his native constituency Nalgona where he addressed a crowd on Sunday.

Venkata Reddy reiterated that Telangana state should be formed honouring the sentiments of Telangana people.

Gulam Nabi Azad who submitted his report on Telangana went to Hyderabad on Saturday evening to attend a program organised by the state government. On Sunday in Prakasam district he attended another program called ‘VANDE GANDEYM’ arranged by Lagadapati Rajagopal, an MP from Vijayawada.
