Andhra Pradesh speaker accepts 12 resignations
The Andhra Pradesh Assembly Speaker accepted the resignation of 12 MLAs on February 15, 2010. 10 MLAs from TRS and one each from TDP and BJP have resigned. The resignation of two MLAs from the ruling Congress party is still pending approval.
THE ANDHRA Pradesh Assembly Speaker Kiron Kumar Reddy on Monday accepted the resignations of 12 legislators. The resignations came from 10 MLAs from Telangana Rashtra Samithi, one from Telugu Desam and one from BJP.
The resignation letters of the ruling party members Damodar Reddy and Muthyam Reddy are under consideration. K. Taraka Ramarao, Harish Rao, E. Rajender and among those of the TRS whose resignations were accepted.
Laxmi Narayana of BJP and Ramesh of TDP also had their resignations accepted. However the case of Muthyam Reddy and Damodar Reddy of the ruling Congress party is still under consideration. AICC observer Veerappa Moily tried to talk these two MLAs into withdrawing their resignations but did not succeed.
