AUSTRALIAN ALL ROUNDER Andrew Symonds is being sent home for violating team rules related to alcohol and other disciplinary issues. Symonds, who was part of the Australian T20 world cup team is most likely to miss the tournament.

Cricket Australia said that the all-rounder had broken a number of rules within the team but did not divulge the details of the breaches.

After missing training with the Aussie team at Oval on Thursday, speculation is rife that the all rounder is likely to be sent home due to disciplinary issues.

Symonds in the past has had several brushes and was sent home in August 2008 after missing a crucial team meeting during a series against Bangladesh.

In January 2009, Symonds was fined by Cricket Australia for calling names of New Zealand Brendan McCullum. He was also involved in a slugfest with Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh during a test match, which had almost brought a situation where the series was likely to be called off.
