The actor himself featured in the Season 8 of the US series as President Oman Hassan of the fictional Islamic Republic of Kamistan. Talking about it, the actor said, “That’s where it all started. After I shot a few episodes in the US, I had this feeling this show would work wonderfully in India.”
The thriller series revolves around the iconic Counter Terrorism Unit (CTU) leader who is out to save the world in just 24 hours, hence the name. The Colors CEO Raj Nayak terms Anil Kapoor as a 'brave one' and also says that no one could have played Jack Bauer better than Kapoor himself. He said, “There will be lots of parallels drawn between the US show and India. Anil faces huge pressure, as he will be compared to Kiefer. But as long as we put up a good show, the viewers will be happy.”
Presently the crew and Kapoor are looking after the making of the series, whose first season will feature in Mumbai. Hopefully Kapoor with his production house is able to keep up with the hype of the original series and make something that everyone is proud of.
