Animosity between MCG chief and mayor creating problems in city's development
It is the residents of Gurgaon, who seems to be suffering due to animosity between Gurgaon's mayor and the municipal commissioner, as a result of which things are not getting done in the millennium city as it should be. MCG officials are not even giving any serious ear to the councillors, which is only making matters worse.

Gurgaon has been witnessing a number of problems such as water shortage, power failure, pathetic roads and if such things between people in the hierarchy exists, not only the residents will suffer, but also the millennium city will suffer. Due to few people's enmity, why should the city and its residents suffer?

A number of emails and calls have been made to authorities to look after the daily problems of the residents, but MCG does not seem eager to solve the problems of the common man as well.

"It seems to be the result of a clash of egos. The officials are simply refusing to act on our request to fix basic infrastructure in my ward. For the past two months I have repeatedly written to the authorities to repair streetlights near Sector 57, but no action is being taken. They are not even acknowledging my complaint. The only option I am left with is to send a court notice for dereliction of duty," said Nisha Singh, Councillor from Gurgaon, reported The Times of India.

It is surprising to note when the councillor's requests are not given heed, what can the residents expect from them?
