Apart from Uttar Pradesh, Anna will be taking his movement to four other states as well, which would be going to polls next year. While speaking at a press conference in his hometown Ralegan Siddi, the self-styled Gandhian said that it’s high time for the Jan Lokpal Bill to become a reality. The deadline, too, has already been set by Anna. He said that another round of agitation will begin if the Bill is not passed in the forthcoming Winter session of the Parliament.
Speaking with mediapersons, IBN Live quoted Hazare saying that he will go to all five election-bound states and will tell people not to vote for the Congress-led UPA alliance government. However, replying to reports that were afloat suggesting that he may be backing the Bharatiya Janata Party, Hazare said that, "people who are saying that I am supporting BJP are not mentally fit." If the Bill is not passed in the Winter Session, Anna said that he will go on a three-day fast in Lucknow, and will also discourage people in the Hisar bypolls to vote for Congress.
