While Malova had come to a pharmacy store at 6thAvenue in Greenwich Village, she was caught by a narcotics officer on the spot.The 38-year old former Miss Universe semifinalist and Miss Russia, has been praised in Russia as a practicing doctor, but was not allowed to practice in U.S.She was charged with criminal possession of narcotics, forgery and illegal impersonation of a physician, on May 19, Wednesday.
‘The doctor believed Malova stole a prescription pad and wrote out phony prescriptions for painkillers,’ the report said, citing the former beauty queen’s pharmacist.Malova, who studied in Russia to be a doctor but is not licensed to practice in the United States, was arrested on similar charges three months ago.In 1998, Anna Malova was Miss Russia and a Miss Universe semifinalist.
