The Annual Athletic Meet 2011, dedicated to world peace and humann well being concluded at BIT Patna main ground with a march past and national anthem.

THE THREE-DAY bonanza of BIT Patna campus annual athletics meet culminated with much fanfare. The breathtaking performances of participants were simply spectacular. The differences which exist among the students based on seniority simply got ameliorated on field and students from different branches irrespective of their seniority worked hand in hand to bring laurels to their respective branches.

The closing ceremony was graced by chief guest Dr.Janardan Singh Sigriwal, cabinet minister, Dept. of labor resource government of Bihar; guest of honour-Dr.G.P Lal, Member, Board of Governers, BIT Mesra; Ajay Chakroborty (VC), R.K. Verma (Registrar), Dr. K.K Srivastava (Director), Dr. S.P Lal (Deputy Director), Dr.Asit Narayan (assistant registrar), Prof K.P Singh, Prof D.P. Singh, Prof K .Lal-Organizing Secretary. Sri Suresh Yadav(Sports Incharge) strived really hard to organise this event.

Students in large number took active participation on the last day event with greater enthusiasm and alacrity. The greatest quality which was demonstrated by the participants was probity and integrity. All students who were on field maintained complete discipline. Special thanks must go to the organising committee members, coordinators and volunteers who helped in turning this event into a grand success. They strived really hard to organise all events in a disciplinary way.

There was march past by four contingents (EEE, ECE, CPIM, and CSE) which was led by R.Satish and Stepy santosh. Prizes were distributed by the minister along with the director to participants of different categories. R.Satish was adjudged men’s champion and Tripti Singh the women’s champion.
