Another accident occurred when an ill fated matador fell 250 meters deep into river stream Nerru Nallah, killing eight persons besides injuring other eight persons in Chenab region of Jammu and Kashmir.
THE DANCE of death continues on the roads of Chenab region in Jammu and Kashmir with yet another accident in which eight people including two women and a child lost their lives, while another five years old minor girl went missing; when an ill fated matador in which they were travelling met with an accident on Doda-Bhaderwah road.
According to the reports, the ill fated matador bearing registration number JK06-801 was on its way from Bhalla to Bhaderwah and while reaching at Sanie some 15 kilometers from Bhaderwah met with an accident at around 11.15am and fell 250 meters deep into river stream Nerru Nallah, resulting into the death of eight persons besides injuring other eight persons, who were shifted to District Hospital Doda. As soon as the news of accident spread in Doda and Bhaderwah, large number of people and senior officials of district Doda including DC Doda, SDM Bhaderwah, SSP Doda, DSP Traffic, SDPO Bhaderwah and others rushed to the spot and shifted the injured and dead bodies to hospital with the help of local people.Meanwhile, the injured said that the main cause of the accident was rash driving and the driver was also using mobile phone while driving the vehicle. The local people alleged that the vehicle was unfit to play on road.
It is also pertinent to mention here that government has recently allotted 37 SRTC buses to Chenab region and on the other hand, has withdrawn 25 buses from old fleet from the entire Chenab region.
