The Islamic world in modern days is embroiled in other battles; those between Islamists and liberals and they are eternal and perpetual in this high consciousness era. This debate is plaguing almost all Islamic societies except with the possible exception of Saudi Arabia. So is the sectarian fight: internet need not be an additive tool always in totality for Muslims. Time may not unite all Muslims together; not even for fight for establishing global Caliphate under the presumed leadership of Imam Mahdi.
The debate between Islamists and secularists can be avoided to great extent if Muslims are able to invent their own forms of democracy and rule of law. For that two things need to be emphasized: greater emphasis on relativism and accepting the fact that Shariah would continue to influence a very significant majority of Muslims’ minds in any foreseeable future. The opposing sides need to understand that what is obvious and important to one is equally nauseating and irrelevant to others. The transition towards the democracy has to be there but not to please the West or adjust with time but for better economic results and for adjusting economies in the inevitable post-oil world. The transformations towards Islamic democracies need to be genuine, slow and gradual and they should come through consensus.
The fact is that present Islamic world is burning because of its unending wish to compete and many times dominate over Christians, Jews and the so called heathens, without Muslims being primary producers and equivalent innovators. The truncated evolution is taking its toll on believers of Islam in these modern times. If they don’t adapt they would be relegated to medieval times but if they do the purity of Islam may be in danger in the strictest Arabic sense.
The only solution for them is to build institutions which are modern but are Islamic in nature. The Muslim world needs to think in its own way, the world beyond religion. Muslims all over the world should unite for political and economic models for their societies. There is nothing bigger than political stability and economic success.
It is easier to be tried where Muslims are primary non-converted people and they are in majority. Muslims all over the world are united by Unitarian Allah, Prophet Mohammad, Koran and other sacred Islamic texts. The underlying unity is far deeper than the apparent divide over sects and over their future evolution. They should use their unity to reach over consensus on all relevant political and economic matters.
Other than the above two, Islamic world does need to address another query: a debate between sexuality and morality, even though that does not appear to be a relevant question for larger Muslim world at this moment of time. Both sexuality and morality matter for a society. Sexuality lets people probe and innovate while morality lets check and controls the way a society should evolve. As long as they go hand-in-hand then everything is okay but more often than not they are in conflict with each other.
What should a society do when sexuality and morality are in conflict with each other? Should they abandon either of the two? Suppressing sexuality and hurting libido is self-defeating while without morality people become amorphous and unstructured.
So what’s the solution? To become innovative and invent newer machines! The fantasies; wild and normal, can be realized using machines without abandoning morality in public places or without inventing too much with humans. Because of 3D, 4D, 5D technologies sensing, caressing and playing with human bodies on screen can be actualized and along with robotics, interface and automation wilder parts of human brains can be actualized without abandoning religion and morality.
Sure, such machines could make humans both more moral and more immoral as it would depend on individuals. But for Muslims the answer is distinctly clear: they would become more moral as a group, individual aberrations not mattering much. And if the West is able to make such machines they should readily accept them if the prices are affordable.
Keeping with the time and updating ids, egos and libidos are the must for a viable society but so is morality. The weird sexual choices are dangerous for the continuity of human race but there are limited ways legislations and other paper-works can help contain them. Only way they can be controlled is through proper mechanizations. Appropriate machines are the solution to humans’ problems, including those of Muslims. Muslims need to be credited for their conservative behavior over sexual matters and large rejection of homosexuality, pervertness and adultery. But at the same time they need to evolve with time keeping their future requirements. Sex, one day would become an issue for larger Islamic societies, if a prophecy can be made.
