THE FORMER Spice girl can now hand down her pop girl skills to her first daughter Harper Seven, who made her first appearance into the world on Sunday at Cedars Sinai hospital in Los Angeles. The star couple is overjoyed to be blessed with their first daughter. David Beckham is especially happy to hold baby Harper in his hand.

The footballer updated his Facebook account with the words, “I am so proud and excited to announce the birth of our daughter Harper Seven Beckham. She weighed a healthy 7lbs 10oz and arrived at 7.55 this morning, here in LA. Victoria is doing really well and her brothers are delighted to have a baby sister xx.

Their spokesperson tweeted through their twitter account that the star couple is delighted to announce the birth of their baby daughter.

The couple married in 1999 and has a family whose movements are closely watched by the paparazzi. They already have three boys, Brooklyn, 11, Romeo, 8 and Cruz, 5. These boys are already stars and we can assume that baby Harper would be a rockstar soon.

The friends of the couple were delighted with the news and congratulated the couple through twitter and Facebook. Another former Spice girl, Emma Bunton tweeted: "Big kiss to @victoriabeckham can't wait to meet your gorgeous little girl!” Sally Lyndley congratulated the couple and in the process also suggested a name ‘Beverly’, before the baby was named. However, they went with Harper and Seven was the number of David Beckham’s jersey when he played for Manchester United.
