Another twist in Kasab saga, wants to confess all
Mohammad Kasab, the lone terrorist caught alive in Mumbai, once again told the Special Court that he wanted to plead guilty to all the charges. The Court, however, asked Kasab to take the decision after consulting his lawyer Abbas Qazmi.

In yet another twist in the saga of Mohammed Ajmal Amir Kasab, the lone terrorist caught for executing the Mumbai terror attacks on Friday told the Special Court that he wanted to plead guilty to all the charges against him in connection with Mumbai terror attacks.

Trying to convey the message that he played a small role during the attacks, the Pakistani national told the court that he was just a member of the 10-member groups responsible for the terror attacks. His lawyer, Abbas Qazmi, however, pleaded that the trial should be continued notwithstanding his client's desire to plead guilty. The special court then asked Kasab to consult his lawyer and thereafter decide on pleading guilty.

The terrorist had earlier confessed the role played by him during the attack on Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST). He had also asked the special judge to conclude the trial and announce the verdict. He had given minute details about the entire operation as it took shape in Pakistan, their training, voyage to Mumbai and the final execution of deadly attack.

Kasab not only admitted that he was a Pakistani national but had made a startling revelation that an Indian national had taught him Hindi, a claim rubbished by police later.
