Anti-inflammatory food for good health
Inflammation is part of the body’s immune response; without it, we can't heal. But when it is out of control as in rheumatoid arthritis, it can damage the body. A number of anti-inflammatory drugs in the market promises to ease the pain and calm the allergic reactions, but there are many food products that does the same thing. We will look at such food, which are well known for their anti-inflammatory property.

Turmeric

It is a potent anti-inflammatory spice, as it contains a non-toxic compound called 'curcumin', which is par with potent drugs like hydro-cortisone and motrin, but yet having none of their side effects. It is also used to expel cold, motion sickness and vomiting. 

Wild Caught Salmon

Salmon is an excellent source of two potent omega-3-fatty acids. It prevents heart diseases, auto-immune diseases and psychological disorders.

Green Tea

The flavinoids in green tea are potent natural anti-inflammatory agents to reduce the risk of heart disease and cancer.

Papaya

Papaya contain 'papain', a protein digesting enzyme. Together with other nutrients such as Vitamin E and C, papain helps in reducing inflammation, improves digestion and healing from burns.

Extra virgin oil

Extra virgin oil contains polyphenols, which protects the heart and blood vessels from inflammation. Mono-unsaturated fats in olive oil are also turned into inflammatory agents by the body, that can lower the occurrence of asthma and arthritis.

Broccoli

It is a highly nutritious vegetable that contain anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer agents. Certain nutrients like sulforaphane help the body to get rid of the potentially carcinogenic compounds.
