Anurag Basu's first taste of Barfi impresses

Everyone loves Anurag Basu's first taste of Barfi. Directors, film makers and film critics immensely liked the first look, and people cannot wait for the film to release slated for a September 14 opening.

THAT ANURAG Basu has come a long way from Murder, Saaya, Gangster and Kites is evident from the first look of Barfi. With no dialogues and simply colourful shots strung together, the first look of Barfi has successfully captured the emotions of the people - so much so that not only fans but stalwarts of the Indian film Industry are congratulating the director as well as the actors on Twitter.

Shekhar Kapur tweeted, “Amazing trailer for Barfi. Promises a wonderful film.” Pritish Nandy was also not far behind and said, “Barfi trailor charming. This Ranbir Kapoor grabs your attention and wont let go.” The trailer in itself is full of life and speaks of different people in a dream kind of land. One cannot ignore either Ranbir Kapoor or Priyanka Chopra's acting capabalities after watching just the first trailer.

Elements that the director has put together speaks volumes of a movie that would be entertaining, lively and emotional. In the very first scene Ranbir is seen combing his immaculate hair and then whipping out a small plait. Like that last surprise element in Ranbir's hair, there are various of such delightful surprise elements in the movie. Talking about his acting prowress Rana Duggubati tweets, “An outstanding promo!! When there are a dozen or so actors standing tall in similar age groups! Standing Taller is a #RanbirKapoor!”

For the first time in the promo, one would easily give a miss to the lively girl with short curly hair and a naughty smile but as more scenes are reveiled Priyanka Chopra would be recognised. Is it the hair or the wonderful fresh faced girl image that is so unlike Priyanka but she is unrecognisable in a good way. Every one is going gaga over Ranbir Kapoor but Priyanka Chopra is surely going to impress and surprise. The new girl IIeana should also be mentuioned as the promo talks about these three pivotal characters. Colours, music and laughter are the main components of Barfi and one cannot wait for September 14, when we would be able to taste Anurag Basu's Barfi.
