The speaker accepted the resignations of MLAs who had joined the TRS from their original parties. The resignations of congress MLAs and followers of YS Jagan have not been accepted because they hadn’t joined any other party. Though the resignations of Balanagireddy (TDP), Shobha Nagireddy (PRP), Srikanth Reddy, Adinarayana Reddy, Amarnath Reddy and Surekha (all Congress) haven’t been accepted but their disqualification petitions would remain standing, speaker announced.
With these vacancies, political parties would have to prove their mettle again in the by-elections. This time TDP and YSR Congress Parties may be in the fray along with Congress. Already TDP supreme few days back has announced that in the future it would contest all by-elections.
