APHCC condemns sacrilegious acts at Hindu temples in Jammu
To express anger and resentment against the recent back to back sacrilege acts in Jammu, Hindu outfits held the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Coalition Government totally responsible adding that not taking the past acts of sacrilege seriously and adopting soft approach towards such criminals has only encouraged such elements to repeat it, which directly hurt the sentiments of Hindu community.

Spokesperson of All Parties Hindu Coordination Committee and Shri Ram Sena's J&K State president, Rajiv Mahajan; State President, Kranti Dal, Pritam Sharma; State President, Shiv Sena Hindustan, Rajesh Kesari in a joint press conference asserted that it was dangerous for the unity among the society and will create communal hatred if stern action under law is not taken.

They said that at Aap Shambhu Temple Roop Nagar the culprit trespassed the temple and broke the Shiv Lingum and other idols and government declared him as mentally retarded. They said that in a similar act, which had occurred at Shiv Temple in Nanak Nagar the culprit was again termed as drug addict.

They said that government confirmation of culprits as mentally retarded and drug addict is not the only solution but its duty is to identify all those anti-national elements, who are behind such sacrilegious acts in the Jammu region, to disturb peace and communal harmony and take a strict action against them.

"We want State Government to identify these anti-social elements and take stern action against them as soon as possible," they said.

"Anyone found guilty should not be spared at any cost. These miscreants should be identified and booked," they added.

They alleged "a deep-rooted conspiracy" to disturb communal peace in Jammu Region.

"Nefarious designs of fissiparous forces are trying to hurt the religious sentiments of Hindu community in the region," they mentioned.

They also dragged up the State Government for giving space to the separatists, which had further emboldened the mischievous elements to trigger communal tension all across the State.

"We did not want to disturb peace and communal harmony but want that the law enforcement agencies must identify and punish the culprits who are responsible for the desecration of Temples in Jammu," they said and urged the government that it was its duty to safeguard the religious sentiments of any community.

Condemning the sacrilegious incidents, they also made a fervent appeal to all sections of the society to keep the centuries old tradition of brotherhood intact to defeat the nefarious designs of the anti-national forces who were hell bent to vitiate peace in the region.

They warned the State Government of more aggressive protests if it fails to punish the culprits behind such acts immediately to maintain peace and communal harmony in the region.
