APMCC-AMEAK threatens major agitation on migrant employees' concerns
Hundreds of Migrant employees posted in Kashmir Valley yesterday joined the massive show of strength meet organised by All Parties Migrants Coordination Committee (APMCC) along with All Migrant Employees Association Kashmir (AMEAK) to chalk out future course of agitation if the government does not concede their demands.
The meet was organised by APMCC to discuss the steps taken and issues resolved by the government regarding the return of migrant employees to Valley who have lost faith in the system and do not feel a sense of security in Kashmir Valley in current circumstances.

The employees giving full mandate to APMCC resolved to initiate a major agitation if their demands of regular release of salaries and giving them more time to feel secure before being forced to resume their duties in hostile conditions were not met with.

Vinod Pandit, Chairman APMCC and King C Bharati, Senior Journalist & National Spokesperson APMCC were the key speakers during the meet which was also addressed among others by Rubon Saproo, Rakesh Pandita, Ranjan Jyotshi, Sanjay Koul, Ajay Bhat, Rakesh Pandita, Kamal Pandita, Manita Koul, Vinod Tickoo, Virender Ji, Rakesh Ji and Anil Pandita.

The employees regretted that on one hand the government was issuing fresh ration cards to the people from Kashmir Valley citing security threat and on the other hand Kashmiri Migrants were being forced by the heads of their respective departments to resume their duties.

They wondered whether the situation was conducive for Migrants but hostile for Kashmir Muslims which was ironic and contradictory on the part of the government and asked the government to issue clear directions regarding their regular release of salaries, clear the backlog of salaries of all migrant employees and more time as breathing period to instill sense of security and confidence among them.

The APMCC leadership also sought immediate implementation of Court orders regarding the pending cases of migrant employees besides addressing the issues of de-reserved and other cases pending with SSRB with immediate effect to restore the credibility of the government among migrant community.

They reiterated that employees would resume their agitation and even go for fast unto death if their genuine demands were not resolved in a concrete manner rather than in patch works.

The APMCC leadership asked the employees to rest assured that nobody will be allowed to harass them or victimize them in view of the prevailing unrest in Kashmir Valley resolving that their issues would be taken up forcefully with the government and if the government fails to address the issue they will even go for Fast-unto Death agitation in Jammu.

The leadership asked the government to order the release of salaries of all the migrant employees till February ending immediately as there were still some employees whose salaries have not been released since July this year.

The employees also resolved to resist any move to force them joining their duty till government holds direct talks with APMCC-AMEAK leadership on the six point charter of demands and hoped that such a dialogue would be held soon.

APMCC leadership also assured the employees that it was behind them and nobody would be allowed to do any injustice to them.
