The original mapping system by Apple would be a great blow to the search engine giant as Apple users constitute a strong customer base for them. As reported in ndtv.com, Tim Bajarin, a Creative Strategies analyst, who has been working with Apple for the last 32 years, said that although the Steve Jobs company would not be able to bury Android but this is a definite blow to them.
Not only will the mapping system would come pre-loaded with iPhones and iPad but Apple has also upgraded its Siri - Apple's voice command application. Otherwise termed as faulty, this application in its new avatar would follow more instructions, launch applications and run movies and recite a larger database. Siri is also integrated with the new mapping system so that she would be able to give step-by-step assistance and direction to the users. Apple also allied with Facebook by involving the social networking deeply in the new iOS operating system. In the new OS, users would be able to upload pics with the help of Siri directly to their Facebook profile.
In a bid to save some grace for the moment and to keep their mobile users from going to Apple's mapping system, Google released a statement saying that they are including new and exciting features to their mapping system. The winner of the epic war are surely the customers as they are getting to choose from two very fine applications, and Google along with Apple, is shaping the history of the virtual and mobile world and its evolution.
