Apple media event on March 2, will iPad 2 be launched?
It is being rumoured that Apple is going to launch the iPad 2, the next version of its fastest selling gadget Apple's iPad on Wednesday, March 2, in a special event in San Francisco.
IT IS rumoured that Apple is going to launch the iPad 2, next version of its fast-selling gadget Apple's iPad on Wednesday, March 2, during a special event at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco. This was the same venue, where last year in January, Apple's Chief Executive Steve Jobs unveiled the iPad.

Apparently, in mid-February, Apple e-mailed invitations to some media houses and professionals for the special event on March 2. However, the email didn't say much about the details of the special event in the invitation.
In the event, it is diffcult to say whether Chief Executive Steve Jobs will make an appearance, considering that he's not in good health. Earlier, Jobs announced that he was taking a medical leave from Apple.

Apple's iPad is the fastest selling gadget of all times. In 2010, the Cupertino, California based company, Apple sold a record 15 million units of iPad worth $4.6 billion. If rumours to be believed, iPad 2 will compete with Motorola Xoom, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, HP TouchPad, etc. BlackBerry maker RIM is also expected to ship its latest tablet, PlayBook in March or April this year.

Now, media from across the globe set their eyes at the media event on March 2 at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco, where it will be likely to see about the Apple's next announcement.
