Apple to Launch iOS 9 in September
Apple is ready to launch iOS 9, Its newest version of the platform which drives the iPhone, iPad and the iPad touch. Although it is free to download, it will work only on the iPhone 4s and later, iPad 2, iPad mini and the iPad touch fifth generation and later models.

The look and feel of the iOS 9 has been kept some what similar to the previous versions, to ensure that users don't get confused. Although Apple engineers have introduced a host of new features in the iOS 9 to increase its functionality and performance.

The public beta version of iOS 9 is already available for download.  All you have to do is to sign-up on the Apple website. Here are a few of its features:

1. The screen for switching apps has been redesigned to accommodate more apps on a single screen. The boxes now overlap each other.

2. Another hour has been added to the battery life by making minor tweaks in the software.

3. If you iPhone is lying face-down on your desk, the screen will not light up on an incoming call to save battery.

4. Low power mode has been introduced to shut-off extra features like Wi-Fi as soon as the battery levels drop below the 20% mark.

5. The phone will also not download background programs and emails in the low battery mode.

6. The processor also slows down during the low battery mode to save power. According to Appple the standby time of the battery will increase up to 3 hours due to the low power mode.

7. Security has also been enhanced in the all new iOS 9 with a six digit password instead of a 4 digit one in the previous versions.

8. Performing an upgrade now requires just 1.4 GB of space instead of 4.6 GB in the previous versions of the iOS.

9. The `Move to iOS' feature is a new introduction by Apple by which you can import data from your Android device into your iPhone.

10. Apple has introduced a new `News' app which will list out news headlines according to what you type.

11. The `Notes' app has also received an upgrade and now you can add a to-do list and also photos in your notes.
