Apple's new app 'Passbook' is the future wallet
Very soon Apple users would bid goodbye to their bulky wallets, as the California company is coming up with an application called Passbook, which is believed to become their future wallet. From movie tickets to all digital coupons, Passbook will even let users check-in for a flight and redeem their coupons.

GADGET LOVERS across the world always have great expectations from Apple, which is one of the best smartphone companies in the world. Apple always comes up with something special, which catches everyone's attention. This time around they have come up with a new app, which is known as passbook, with people saying that it may even replace our wallets. Yes, this has become the talk of the town.

This application is expected to change the way we shop, purchase things etc. The application is also going to come handy while booking movie tickets, travel tickets etc. But how does this actually work? Apple describes how the application works: "Passbook puts boarding passes, movie tickets retail coupons, loyalty cards and more are now all in one place. With Passbook, you can scan your iPhone or iPod to check in for a flight, get a movie, and redeem a coupon,” according to sacbee.com.

With this app, users can also see when their coupons expire, where their concert seats are, and the balance left on that all important coffee bar card. “Wake your iPhone or iPod touch, and passes appear on your Lock screen at the appropriate time and place - like when you reach the airport or walk into the store to redeem your gift card or coupon. And, if your gate changes after you've checked in for your flight, Passbook will even alert you to make sure you're not relaxing in the wrong terminal,” it added.

With such kind of app, Apple has taken its first major step in this venture and has reached another level. Does such kind of application mean that various modes of payments like paypal, cc Avenue, etc become useless? It remains to be seen if they eat up such kind of markets.

Just look at the things that are presently included inside your wallet. It may include various types of loyalty, parking, debit, credit cards etc, which may only help your wallet look bulkier. So, this Apple app known as passbook has been introduced so that people need not carry those bulky wallets – in the process make things easier for iPhone users.
