Arjun Rampal denies charges of assaulting a fan in Delhi
Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal has reportedly hit a 24-year-old reveler at a Delhi club. However, Rampal is said to have denied all allegations of the alleged abuse. The incident, if the victim is to be believed, took place at a Delhi's high-street Lutyen's nightclub late on Saturday night, in the wee hours of Sunday morning.

The victim has lodged a complaint with an unidentified police station against the 'Rock On' star. If reports are to be believed, no case has been registered despite the complainant trying to take action against the Bollywood biggie. He has alleged that the actor has purposely hit him with a flashlight camera.

The incident occurred when Rampal who was at the DJ's console at club Privee, found himself being clicked. Around 3.30 am in the morning, with the party in full swing, the actor apparently did not appreciate being photographed. He allegedly grabbed the flashlight camera and hurled it at the crowd when the object hit 24-year-old Shobhit Shemrani, injuring him. Shemrani, a resident of West Delhi's Shalimar Bagh, had been on the dance floor when the flying object had caught him. To the media he has been quoted as accusing Rampal of intentional harm.

"The complainant said he was on the dance floor at Privee' last [Saturday] night when the actor suddenly threw the flashlight intentionally at him. He sustained an injury on the forehead. A medical examination has been conducted," Deputy Commissioner of Police (New Delhi) BK Singh has said. The police had earlier defended the actor saying Rampal had only intended for someone from the crowd to catch the flashlight. They later claimed that they were duly probing the incident. Rampal, however, has tweeted to deny charges of assault. "Woke up to be flooded by messages of assaulting a fan Man! Where do people make this news up from? Not assaulted anyone #untrue #fakenews", tweeted the actor on Sunday.
