Arsenal defeat Manchester City 3-0 to win Community Shield
Arsenal humiliated the English Premier League champions, Manchester City after defeating them 3-0 to lift the FA Community Shield. Aaron Ramsey, Santi Cazrola and Olivier Giroud scored for the Gunners, as they look ahead for the start of the EPL with full confidence after such an enthralling victory. This was Arsenal's first silverware this season.

It was a game, where Arsenal players looked comfortable on the ball and their marquee signing, Alexis Sanchez was a standout player. Though, the Chilean did not score a goal, but was hugely impressive with the ball on his feet, as he tormented Man City defenders with his skills. No wonder, Arsenal fans call him to be the signing of the season.

Manchester City did not field their best eleven as a number of players such as Aguero and Negredo had been left out along with other players. Still, one cannot take credit away from Arsenal, who were too missing out on the services of Ozil, Walcott to name a few.

Manchester City were lackluster in their performance, contrary to Arsenal's performance, who were hungry for a win. Two first half goals from Arsenal had made it pretty clear about their intent, while Giroud's splendid third goal from long distance put the final nail in the coffin as well.

But, expect a better performance from the City players, when the EPL kicks off from the weekend and Arsenal's real test would also lie on how they fare in the EPL. Their success would not be gauged from their win last night, but their EPL and Champions League performances.
