Organized by Old World Hospitality Pvt. Ltd. with the collaboration of many art experts, the Art Mart is as an open platform for showcasing and dealing in affordable art by emerging and talented artists, which gives a great exposure to the future artists of the country. It will feature high quality original paintings, drawings, sculptures, installations, photographs and new media art, and will represent the full spectrum of contemporary Indian creativity from all over the country and across forms, styles and themes and reasonably priced which can be bought even with very low budget. The aim of Art Mart is to make art affordable and accessible to the public and collectors with variable pockets and tastes.
In Art Mart IV, which will be celebrating the 100th anniversary of Indian cinema, some specially designed projects that have been added and having central theme in its creativity, entertainment and inspirational dimensions. A selection of art works, inspired by the Bollywood, Hollywood and themes of various other genres of popular and experimental cinema as well, and will be showcased in a specially curated exhibition ‘Art n Cinema’ featuring work of more than 20 artists.
Other than these ‘His Master’s Choice’ is also a new dimension will be introduced this year by Art Mart to feature some exciting new art works created by an invited group of younger emerging stars from around India and selected and nominated by two of the well known younger master artists Bose Krishnamachari and Chintan Upadhyay. The work by the nominated artists will be showcased in special stalls alongside fresh creative expressions by many other promising artists within the Art Mart exposition.
And the series of familiar and popular associated events will be a part of Art Mart too. Including Live Painting, An Open Canvas choreographed by Sarandeep Grover and a creative painting competition for children, along with an Introductory Art Appreciation Course for aspiring collectors to be conducted by leading experts, a workshop for artists, and a special screening of feature film Rang Rasiya directed by Ketan Mehta and based on the life of legendry artist Raja Ravi Varma, amongst other events will be a part of this weekend.
Special previews, gallery walks, cultural performances and much more have been lined up for the people of Delhi and Gurgaon to enable the visitors to interact with artists and experts on a single platform. Epicentre which includes an auditorium, a fine-dine restaurant Drift, a state of the art gallery and an additional exhibition area of 40,000 square feet conatins much more for millennium city in future as well.
