Arunachal organizes auditions for singing talent show
The second audition of 'Batti Gurungni Memorial Gorkha Singing Talent' was held on October 18 at a hotel in Bomdila of West Kameng District of Arunachal Pradesh, informed Facebook friend Fagos Ratan Pakyong and a former student of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Tengavalley.

The auditions are being held to identify the singing talent among the youth of Arunachal Pradesh both for popular and folk singing. According to Pakyong, such auditions and broadcast of the finals will provide the recognition to singing talent and skills on the regional bases.

Though, this talent show would be limited to the state but we do feel that singers from the shows would receive local fame and recognition leading to the prospects of being part of other bigger shows, said the organizers. It being held that participating in this talent show will open up new doors for some of the talented singers of Arunachal Pradesh.

At the audition level, the talent hunting events are more of performances rather than contests. For the finals, there will be contest in which the selected participants will be motivated to perform for a trophy and prize money, said event organizers.
