Arunima Sinha climbs 21,000 ft with artificial limb
A national level women volleyball player, Arunima Sinha has managed to climb 21,000 ft with an artificial limb, which reflects her grit and determination. She lost her leg in a train accident in April 2011.

MANY OF us thought that Arunima Sinha's life has come to an end after she was thrown out of a moving train in April last year. Sinha lost a leg in the tragic incident, but defying all odds, she has climbed 21, 110 ft of Mt Chhamser Kangri's with an artificial limb.

It was her sheer determination that helped her in climbing such a height. In this nnis video, she says, “I also have problems, but to achieve some things, these problems are nothing.” What a display of courage by a person who nearly lost her life while traveling in that ill-fated train in Uttar Pradesh!

She knew that she was going to face obstacles to achieve this feat so she received valuable inputs from Bachendri Pal, who is the first Indian woman to climb Mount Everest. Pal trained Sinha for a period of one month.

Along with her three mates, Sinha overcame all the difficulties in the form of glaciers and slippery rocks and managed to reach such a height.

She can be a perfect example for many people around the world who stop doing their normal routine work after getting involved in serious accidents. It is entirely upon the will of the individual and in Sinha's case, it was in abundance.

She, now dreams of conquering Mt Everest and with this grit and determination, she can surely make it to the top. From next time onwards you get a difficult task in hand - just remember her and continue with your task; it is going to make your work lighter.
